Industry Veteran will discuss APIs and How they Cause Disruption
Norwalk, CT – July 12, 2016—Juan Carlos Soto, Vice President, Hybrid Cloud Integration and API Economy with IBM, will deliver a keynote at All About the API on Tuesday, July 19 at 3:30 p.m. in Las Vegas, Nevada at Caesars Palace. There, Soto will address the audience on the topic of disruption as he explores how digital transformation has created the API Economy, bringing with it changes in how business and technology operate today and in the future. During his keynote, Soto will also dive into the game-changing ability APIs offer to new and existing organizations wanting to expand their market position to stay ahead of potential disruptors.
“The disruption occurring in the enterprise services market is paralleling what consumer apps have been doing for years, and that’s due to the rapid proliferation of APIs,” said TMC’s CEO, Rich Tehrani, the conference’s Executive Producer. “This is why we are thrilled Juan Carlos, who represents cloud, AI and IT at IBM, will be on hand to share his vision.”
Soto is Vice President of Hybrid Cloud Integration and API Economy, which includes IBM's API Connect, MQ, IIB, DataPower and Node.js offerings. Previously, he was the CEO at StrongLoop, a leader in Node.js for the Enterprise, which was acquired by IBM in September 2015. Before StrongLoop, he led several businesses at Informatica including the Informatica Cloud Business Unit growing it from an internal startup operation to a mainstream subscription business recognized as a market leader in the integration platform as a service (iPaaS) category. Before Informatica, Juan Carlos worked at Sun Microsystems where he was a member of Sun's Executive Management Group, holding various executive positions including Vice President of Cloud Computing and Developer Products Marketing, Vice President of Market Development, and CTO of Software.
