Zang: Zooming to All About the API

By Maurice Nagle
July 19, 2016

Communications development is coming at a fever pitch. With more heads in the cloud and more hands in the developer sand box, it is certainly a fun time to cover the news in the space. Recently, Zang announced that OwnerListens leveraged Zang’s all-in-one cloud communications platform and applications-as-a-service to support its service, which allows customers to text with businesses.

Specifically, the OwnerListens service analyzes all incoming messages and routes them to the appropriate system, chatbot, place or person for resolution. SMS is proving to be extremely effective for engagement, as 95 percent of text messages are viewed within three minutes of receipt, making resolution quick and painless.

"When creating the OwnerListens application, we had very specific requirements that would foster a simple and quick loop between customers and businesses," said Eli Lipstein, head of product at OwnerListens. "We spent a great deal of time creating this ourselves, but when we came across Zang and saw how we could build exactly what we wanted within a communications platform as a service model, it became a game changer for us."

This is an example of how smart apps built leveraging the Zang platform empower people to define how they connect and work. Zang leverages APIs to provide a high level of interoperability, workflow automation as well as robust application development capabilities.

Zang EVP Business Development, Davide Petramala will be participating in the inaugural All About the API event, which starts today at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas and runs through July 21. Petramala is presenting today’s keynote session at 4 p.m., “Disrupting the Pace of Innovation” where he will discuss Zang, its APIs and how it is able to simplify the application creation process to enable you to turn your idea into reality – keeping your business at the fore of innovation, efficiency and productivity.
